The following is excerpted from a release issued by the Cultural Human Resources Council.
Young Canada Works at Building Careers in Heritage (YCWBCH), a paid internship program administered by the Cultural Human Resources Council, is funded by the Department of Canadian Heritage as part of Canada’s Youth Employment Strategy. The internships provide a meaningful first-work experience for recent college and university graduates. CHRC is seeking applications from employers in not-for-profit arts and culture organizations in Digital Media; Film and Broadcasting; Live Performing Arts; Music and Sound Recording; Visual Arts and Crafts; Writing and Publishing; and Heritage. CHRC is accepting employers’ applications for the 2019-2020 program (one application per employer). The application deadline is February 1, 2019. Young Canada Works aims to promote skills development, knowledge of Canadian achievements in the cultural sector and cultural heritage, and to enhance the employability of internship participants.
